Get out of the city and head to Blyb. Spend a day or an evening with your team, friends, or family. Enjoy good food, time together, and a place where you’ll want to stay a little longer.
For your winter celebration, you can choose from three very different venues: a casual get-together at the Backhaus, a sit-down meal at the Amsel, or a completely private dinner in our library.
You can also take a walk along the lake, go on a guided tour of the Gmund paper mill, enjoy some mulled wine when you arrive, or have a drink at the bar later on. You decide what suits you best.
And how do you get there?
From Munich, the BRB takes you directly to Gmund in about an hour. From the train station, it’s just a few minutes’ walk to the Blyb—a stroll along the lake through the winter landscape.
CELEBRATION AT THE BAKERY
Suggested Program
If the weather cooperates, take the train from Munich one stop further to Tegernsee and from there walk along the Tegernsee Höhenweg trail to Blyb—with views of the lake, about an hour’s walk. When you arrive, mulled wine will be waiting for you at the bakery to warm you up.
Afterward, we’ll eat together: fondue or a pizza party, whichever suits you best. Dessert and an aperitif round out the evening—and anyone who isn’t ready for bed yet can head over to the bar or have a karaoke battle.

Dinner at the Amsel

You’ll arrive at the Gmund train station and start with a behind-the-scenes tour of the Gmund paper mill. Afterward, you’ll walk along the lake to the Blyb.
In the evening, a three-course meal awaits you at the Amsel. Dessert and an aperitif round out the evening—and for those who want to stay a little longer, there’s a nightcap waiting at the bar or the stage at the karaoke bar.
