In one direction just a few minutes’ walk from the shores of Lake Tegernsee, in the other direction directly onto the most beautiful hiking trails surrounded by spacious meadows towards the mountains overlooking the lake. The Blyb. is located in the beautiful town of Gmund am Tegernsee, at the entrance to the popular Tegernsee Valley, and with its 17,000 square meters of land, it is not only a hotel and restaurant but above all a place full of possibilities meant to inspire you. Whether through encounters with other people, open exchange at events, active participation, or seeking peace in nature.
We place special emphasis on our communal areas so that you can have the best of both worlds: a good book in the peace of the library, a convivial drink at the bar, various art and music experiences, lectures and discussions, relaxation in the park, sauna, yoga on the wooden deck, or a game of bocce behind the house.
Whether for the next team offsite, kick-off meeting, the next workation or private celebrations – the Blyb. also offers wonderful rooms for exclusive use.

Library
The cozy lounge in the bay window, a fireplace corner with armchairs, two niches for concentrated work and shelves full of books and games make our library a special place. For children or creative types, there are extra-large pads and pens for drawing.
On request for exclusive use for meetings and conferences for up to 12 people.
Bar
The spacious lounge with armchairs, stools, bar and fireplace offers everyone the opportunity to find their favorite spot. Whether for stimulating conversations, people-watching, drinking coffee or leafing through a magazine.
Terrace and beer garden
On our large terrace and the beer garden in front of the villa, the sun comes around from mid-morning until sunset. Beer benches, lounge furniture or our restaurant terrace offer the right place for everyone.
Yoga deck
Sunrise, the first chirping of birds, and the initial movements on the mat outside surrounded by tall trees and greenery. Our yoga deck is located at the highest point of the property with the best view and the last rays of sunlight in the evening.
There is currently a morning yoga class every Saturday at 8.30 am.
And some pop-up classes.

Sauna
In our sauna in the park surrounded by tall old trees, you can relax in the middle of nature.

Backhaus
As an independent location and pizzeria, the glazed wooden structure, the bakery, is a popular venue for exclusive, private celebrations such as birthdays, weddings and fondue and pizza evenings. Up to 30 people can be seated at the long table. Other event formats can also be realised here on request.
Boule + Table Tennis
In summer, enjoy a quiet game of boules on the sunny side of the villa with a drink. Or perhaps swing the paddle playing table tennis instead.
Bees
We have our own bee colonies and a beekeeper – Thomas Klotz.
The bees have been busy collecting pollen from the hazelnut bushes and the willow trees.
Now it’s time for the dandelions.
Hopefully no more long winters.
Last year we harvested our first organic Blyb honey.
Raised beds and wild herbs
There is a lot of greenery on our 17,000 square meters of land and therefore also enough space for lots of nature and plants and a few raised beds, the harvest of which we use in our kitchen.
With herb expert Barbara Pafel, we also have a valuable partner on board who works with the wild herbs on our property so that we can process them further.

E-bikes
Whether it’s a ride to the lake, to the nearest café or through the meadows and woods behind the house.
With the new e-bikes from Riese & Müller, you are both sporty and comfortable on the road.
Available for our hotel guests to borrow on site.
